How do I make a reservation?

Fill out the required information on the booking agreement and fax it back. Rooms available are from Direct Travel World's direct contracts and/or various wholesale distributors from across the country.

 

What features are included in the package I booked?

Your confirmation displays everything included.

 

What are the hotel Taxes and Service Charges?

Room tax per day varies by state, county and city. The percentage of tax added is reflected at the time of reservation. Occupancy tax per day varies per property and is included in the overall daily room rate quoted. If applicable, some properties collect a bellman/portage charge upon check out, that is NOT included. Direct Travel World does NOT charge any additional Service Fees.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

Direct Travel World accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express as valid forms of payment for bookings made. Company checks are an option when arrangements are made in advance. Direct Travel World must receive all payment before travel documents can be released.

 

Will I receive a confirmation?

Direct Travel World confirms the room at the time of booking, and will forward confirmation numbers to you within 72 hours via email or fax.

 

Explain the documents to me?

Sometimes accommodation vouchers are issued with the confirmation. We typically send documents within a week of receiving final payment. Once your booking is paid in full, we will email, fax, or mail your travel documents to you, depending on the type of documents issued. Some properties do not require/issue vouchers. The documents I received are incorrect, what do I do?

Please call Customer Service at (866) 403-5377 if any information you receive is incorrect. We will see that it is corrected immediately.

 

Is there a charge for making changes to my reservation?

Your first change is free. After that there is a $25 fee per change. This fee is waived for adding rooms or nights. There may be additional charges for changes made within 14 days of travel. All change requests must be received at least 7 days before travel.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Any complete cancellation of a room results in a $50 cancellation fee. Within 14 days of travel, there is an additional fee equal to one night plus tax. There are no refunds for changes or cancellations within 7 days of travel.

 

I am due a refund, what do I do?

You should allow 3-4 weeks for a refund to be credited back to the original form of payment. If you do not receive your refund after this time, please call Customer Service at (866) 403-5377.
